7-Day workshop on ‘Vaidika-Svara-Paribodha’ concludes in PU
Panjab University’s Sanskrit department concluded its 7-day workshop titled ‘Vaidika-Svara-Paribodha’ today. This workshop was organised under the celebrations of the 200th birth anniversary of Swami Dayanand Saraswati.

Chandigarh, November 8, 2023: Panjab University’s Sanskrit department concluded its 7-day workshop titled ‘Vaidika-Svara-Paribodha’ today. This workshop was organised under the celebrations of the 200th birth anniversary of Swami Dayanand Saraswati.
Instructor of this workshop was Sandeep Kumar, research scholar at the Dayanand Chair for Vedic Studies, Panjab University. In this workshop, participants were taught about the peculiar system of Vedic tones/pitches and its impact on the meanings in Vedic Sanskrit.
Academic Incharge of the Sanskrit department Prof. V. K. Alankar expressed satisfaction at the successful completion of this workshop. Prof. Alankar congratulated Mr. Sandeep on the success of this workshop and look forward to more of such workshops on Vedic svaras.” Faculty member of the department Dr. Vijay Bharadwaj gave a vote of thanks to the academic incharge, faculty members, instructor and participants.
