3 Students From DAVIET Selected For Metro Tyres

Jalandhar, November 3, 2017: 3 students of DAVIET were selected for the Metro Tyres during Joint Campus Placement Drive held at DAVIET in which students from various institutions of Punjab Participated.

Brand Metro enjoys 60 per cent of the cycle rickshaw tyres and tubes market and 24 per cent of the bicycle tyres and tubes segment in India. Nearly all major OEMs, including reputed brands like Bajaj Auto, Piaggio Vehicles, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India, Suzuki Motorcycles, Hero Cycles, Atlas Cycles and TI Cycles, are our clients. Government agencies like DGS&D and MSRTC also opt for Metro Tyres.
In the Joint Campus Placement drive more than 100 students appeared from DAV Institute of Engineering & Technology (DAVIET), CT Group of Institutions, DAV University ,Desh Bhagat University and Khalsa Engineering College.
The Company has selected the students after rigorous rounds comprising of Written Test, Group Discussion, Technical and HR Interview.
The ecstatic students while giving the details of the offer shared that his designation in the company will be Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) and their responsibility will be to work in Production, Research, Design & Development, Quality Assurance and Tool Room department. The company offered a pay package of 2.40 LPA.The selected students Ashwani Kumar Sushil Mahajan and Kewal Krishna had shared that they had started preparing for the placement drive early and concentrated on developing their interpersonal skills along with the enhancing their knowledge about the core areas. They shared that to suit the needs of the company a special effort was done to learn Autocad, Catia , Ansys and RecurDyn.

Mr. Sushil Prashar (Head, Department of Training & Placement appreciated the hard work put in by students and highlighted that special efforts were done to make them ready for Written Test,Group discussion and Interviews. He shared that special guest lectures and workshops were organized from time to time to make the students sharpen their skills to face Technical and HR Persons confidently. He also thanked the Principal for his constant support and guidance. He provided the split of the selected students and stated that students were selected from the Department of Mechanical Engineering.

Dr. Manoj Kumar, Principal DAVIET congratulated the students on their success. He wished them the best of luck for all their future endeavors’. He highlighted that DAVIETians have always been passionate about placements and special efforts are done to make them industry ready. He stated that the success of selected students stands for the hard work and commitment of DAV administration to provide its students the best possible exposure so that they can make a mark for themselves. He also congratulated the Department of training & Placement and faculty who guided the students and urged them to keep up the good work.
