Bhopal, June 24 (HS): A two-day conference is being organised to implement the National Education Policy 2020 (NEP) in Sanskrit education. Organised under the joint aegis of Central Sanskrit University Delhi, Shiksha Sanskriti Utthan Nyas, and Sanskrit Teachers Association Delhi, this two-day workshop will start today (Saturday) and end on Sunday evening. This National Sanskrit Conference is being organised at the Central Sanskrit University campus in Bagsevania, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh.
In this regard, the Director of the Central Sanskrit University Bhopal Campus, Prof. Ramakant Pandey, told the conference that in the two-day conference, intensive Sanskrit education will be discussed for the implementation of the National Education Policy. The conclusions that will be received will be sent to the Central Government. He informed me that more than 200 scholars from India are participating in this National Sanskrit Conference. On the first day, there will be discussion on the need for NEP in school education. And on the second day, there will be a deep discussion on the need for NEP in higher education and the conclusions to be drawn from it.
Pro. Pandey says that this is the first time after independence that education through Indian tradition and Indian languages has been undertaken in the National Education Policy 2020. This effort is useful not only for the study of language, literature, and culture but also for technology, medicine, and other humanities. India is a country of villages. Students coming from rural areas can study any subject in their mother tongue as per this education policy. Surely this is a revolutionary beginning in the field of education.
The conference will discuss various topics for researchers, including:
1. Primary and Secondary Curriculum at School Level (with reference to NEP 2020 and NCF)
2. Courses postgraduate (with reference to NEP-2020 and UGC instructions)
3. Process to create an online course
4. Skill Courses and Vocational Courses in Sanskrit Education
5. Role of Private Institutions in Sanskrit Preservation
6. Status and Direction of Sanskrit Research in Modern Perspective
