CJI Justice Suryakant honors DLC SUPVA VC Dr. Amit Arya for his contribution to journalism

Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of India, Justice Surya Kant, on Saturday honored Dr. Amit Arya, Vice Chancellor of the Dada Lakhmi Chand State University of Performing and Visual Arts (DLC SUPA), for his outstanding contributions in the field of journalism.

Rohtak, February 14, 2026:  Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of India, Justice Surya Kant, on Saturday honored Dr. Amit Arya, Vice Chancellor of the Dada Lakhmi Chand State University of Performing and Visual Arts (DLC SUPA), for his outstanding contributions in the field of journalism.

CJI Justice Surya Kant presented this honor to Dr. Amit Arya during a ceremony held at the Baba Mastnath University.

Regarded as a prominent figure in the media industry, Dr. Amit Arya has had a distinguished journalistic career spanning nearly 30 years. He has served as editor of various news channels and has also been the media advisor to the then Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal. Before assuming the role of Vice Chancellor of DLC SUPA, Dr. Arya also served as an advisor to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting in the Northern region.

As a journalist, he has been responsible for the establishment and successful operation of several regional and national channels. As the Chief Minister's Media Advisor, Dr. Arya also played a key role in crucial initiatives such as the introduction of journalists' pensions, simplification of accreditation, and an increase in journalists' insurance coverage.
