150 Years of Legacy Celebrated at Govt. Model Senior Secondary School, Ladowali Road in Collaboration with CT Group

Jalandhar, December 20, 2025: Govt. Model Senior Secondary School, Ladowali Road, Jalandhar, in collaboration with CT Group, celebrated a historic milestone as it commemorated 150 years of excellence with great pride and enthusiasm. The sesquicentennial celebration witnessed the presence of eminent dignitaries, alumni, students, educators, and well-wishers, making the occasion a memorable tribute to the institution’s enduring legacy in the field of education.

The event was graced by the Chief Guest, Vaneet Dhir, Mayor of Jalandhar, who lauded the institution for its outstanding contribution to shaping generations of responsible citizens. The celebration was further honoured by the presence of the Guest of Honour, Nitin Kohli, Halka In-charge, Jalandhar, who congratulated the school on completing 150 years and encouraged students to uphold the values of discipline, dedication, and service.

The programme was further dignified by the esteemed presence of Justice Narinder Sood, whose presence added great stature to the celebration, and Padma Bhushan Bajinder Singh Hamdard, Chief Editor of Ajit, who appreciated the school’s historic contribution to education in Punjab and its role in nurturing socially conscious individuals. Vineet Chaudhary, Chief Secretary, Himachal Pradesh, also graced the occasion and highlighted the importance of strong educational institutions in nation-building.

The celebration witnessed the gracious presence of Dr. S.P.S. Grover, President of the Alumni Association, who expressed pride in the school’s strong alumni network. Charanjit Singh Channi, Chairman, CT Group, Mohinder Singh KP, Minister in the Punjab Government, Jagdish Raja, former Mayor, Surinder Saini, Secretary of the Alumni Association, and Deputy District Education Officer, were also present and extended their congratulations on this landmark achievement.

The celebration featured vibrant cultural performances by students, including melodious singing and engaging stage presentations, which were widely appreciated by the audience and added colour, warmth, and cultural richness to the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, Principal Yogesh Kumar expressed heartfelt gratitude to CT Group, the alumni association, dignitaries, teachers, students, and organisers.
