108 Ambulance honours women staff

Chandigarh, March 14, 2023: To celebrate womanhood and commemorate their  efforts , 108 Ambulance services celebrated the day , by  honouring women employees  and acknowledging them for their exemplary services in various spheres of life. 

The celebrations were held at Ziqitza Healthcare Office, Mohali, involving participation of male co - workers, by resolving to work towards gender equality, creating more job opportunities, various initiatives for the welfare of women and making them more aware about their rights.  The event also involved mehndi competition, where women displayed various mehndi designs such as Arabic, Indian, played games and as a token of gesture Roses and chocolates were given to them.

The event was followed by a discussion where women employees shared their experiences, and laid emphasis on "gender equality".

Sharing views, present at the occasion, 108 Ambulance Project Head Punjab, Manish Batra said, “108 Ambulance has always worked towards the welfare of women, because we believe in giving equal status to women in all areas of work. We here try to create a work environment more inclusive and secure for women. Lastly we believe, Women must continue to keep excelling in various sectors  and  as a society we must support them.”
