Roorkee, October 4, 2017: KHOJ, the nationwide startup competition, has announced that it will host its startup search event in Roorkee on October 11, 2017. The KHOJ event will be organized by Z Nation Lab in partnership with TIDES, IIT Roorkee.
KHOJ is inviting startups from Uttarakhand to apply for the one day event. Each participant will get an opportunity to pitch their product and interact with the mentors and investors from Z Nation Lab. As a screening process 15 startups from the applicants will present the Investors panel at the KHOJ event. The winning startup will get following:
- Free Entry to Z Nation Lab startup Bootcamp program in Mumbai

- Virtual Mentorship & Scale-up advice from subject matter experts in Silicon Valley

- Startups passing from the Bootcamp program in Mumbai will get a seed funding of INR 30 lakh from Z Nation Lab

- Cash credits by Amazon web services, Paytm, Microsoft, IBM Watson, Sendgrid, Mail Chip, Google

- Follow on investment offer from early stage VCs and Angel Networks on the Z Nation Lab Startup demo day

Neha Jain, Director at Z Nation Lab said ‘KHOJ is an initiative by Z Nation Lab that aims at revolutionalizing the startup eco system especially in tier II cities in India. We have conducted similar startup search events as KHOJ initiative across multiple cities in India and have till date accelerated and funded about 15 Startup Entrepreneurs in last one year’.
Speaking about the event, Manish Shrikhande, DEAN Incubation & Innovation – IIT Roorkee said ‘Our approach with Z Nation Lab is to provide a strong support to budding entrepreneurs by connecting them with mentors, technopreneurs and investors from India and abroad’.

‘KHOJ is an innovative process that brings together the entire ecosystem to collaborate and network. We leverage our strong association in the Silicon Valley to help us select and scale up the startups in India’ added Ms. Jain.
The KHOJ 2017 Uttarakhand event will be held at IIT Roorkee on October 11, 2017.
