Rohtak, July 8, 2026: Youth must become job creators rather than mere job seekers. The dream of an 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' can only be realized by embracing the spirit of cooperation alongside innovative ideas. Prof. Balaram Pani, Dean of Colleges at Delhi University, stated this while addressing the 'Yuva Sahkar Sammelan'—themed 'Sahkar: Aaj Ka Rozgar'—held at MDU, Rohtak as the chief guest.

Prof. Balaram Pani urged the youth to work collectively, embrace self-employment, and become problem-solvers. Highlighting the importance of cooperative and healthy competition, he remarked that the holistic development of society and the nation is possible only through a balance between the two.

Presiding over the event, MDU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Milap Punia stated that cooperation is a powerful medium for empowering youth to become self-reliant. He called upon the youth to participate in nation-building by adopting the cooperative model.

Registrar Prof. Sandeep Bansal said that youth should join cooperative societies to create new employment opportunities. Such events will strengthen the goal of 'Atmanirbhar Bharat'.

Rajbir Singh Godara (State President, Sahkar Bharati), Dr. Saurabh Bhishma (General Secretary), and Harish Kaushik (Chairman, Cooperative Bank) also shared their views. Dr. Geetika moderated the proceedings, while Jitendra Kumar and Rakesh Saini coordinated the event.
