Mohali, November 1, 2026: A magnificent event dedicated to artificial intelligence and cutting-edge technology, "Aavishkaar 2026 - AI for India," was organized at CGC University, Mohali. Policy-makers, industry experts, investors, entrepreneurs, and students participated in this unique event to share ideas on the new possibilities of artificial intelligence and its role in India's future.
On this occasion, A. Seshasayee Chowdary Jakkampudi—former Special Chief Secretary of Andhra Pradesh, former IT Advisor to the Chief Minister, former Managing Director of NVIDIA, and founder/former Director of Software Technology Parks of India—graced the event as the special guest.
During the event, 57 new startups pitched their ideas to investors, while 20 student-designed projects were exhibited. Additionally, 58 experts participated in various panel discussions, and 40 participants were honored with the "Aavishkaar Excellence Award" for their outstanding contributions. The participation of 5,200 school students was a major highlight of the event.
A unique feature of this festival was that, instead of being limited to exhibitions and technical information, it was shaped into an experiential and participatory event. Modern technological attractions were showcased, including AI-generated sculptures, humanoid robots, modern photo-capturing camera devices, sketch-drawing robots, Bella robots, dancing robots, bicycle racing, and cricket played via augmented reality. Through these attractions, students and attendees got a direct opportunity to engage with new technology and understand its operational mechanism. A major participation of investors was another significant aspect of Aavishkaar 2026.
Dedicated to the grand objective of 'AI for India,' the festival delivered the message that AI is not just modern technology, but a vital tool for solving India's evolving needs, economic growth, and social progress. Through startups, student innovations, expert discussions, tech exhibitions, and investor participation, Aavishkaar 2026 showcased the entire innovation lifecycle—from idea to product and investment—on a single platform.
