KMV organises Experiential Educational Trip for the Students

Jalandhar, November 1, 2026: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) has always been committed to providing students with meaningful learning experiences beyond the classroom. The Institution regularly organizes educational visits and experiential learning activities to enhance students’ practical knowledge, broaden their perspectives, and strengthen their understanding of real-world environments.
In continuation of these efforts, the P.G. Department of Retail Management organized an educational trip to Amritsar for the students of M.Voc. and B.Voc. Retail Management. A major highlight of the visit was the Mall of Amritsar, where students gained first-hand exposure to the functioning of a modern shopping mall and contemporary retail environment. They observed various retail formats, store layouts, visual merchandising techniques, product displays, branding and promotional strategies, customer interactions, and store ambience. The visit helped students understand practical aspects of consumer behavior, merchandise presentation, customer experience, sales promotion, and retail operations, thereby connecting classroom concepts with real-life retail practices. The educational trip also provided students with an opportunity to explore the rich cultural and historical significance of Amritsar. Through observation and interaction, students enhanced their confidence, teamwork, communication skills, and practical understanding. The experience made learning more engaging and enabled them to appreciate the application of concepts studied in their academic curriculum. The students enthusiastically participated in the educational visit and found it to be an enriching and memorable learning experience.
Director Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi congratulated the students and appreciated the efforts of the HoD, Dr. Rashmi Sharma, Faculty Member Chetna, and the entire team of the Department of Retail Management for organizing the trip. She emphasized that such experiential learning initiatives play an important role in the holistic development of students and prepare them to confidently face future academic and professional challenges.
