Ludhiana, August 28, 2015: Deliberations on agricultural engineering, forestry and economics marked the conclusion of the two- day “Research and Extension Specialists’ Workshop for Rabi Crops” at Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) today. Besides, experts discussed wheat sowing in standing cotton crop, attachment of paddy straw management system in combine harvester for spreading loose straw, processing of pulses, establishment of agro-processing complexes in Punjab, suitability of wheat variety WH 1105 under poplar plantation, insect-pest management in forest trees and economics of rabi crops.

Chairing the concluding session, Dr G.S.
