Jalandhar, March 15, 2022: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) organised a one-day online workshop on Basics of Minor Research Project: In the Context of Performing and Visual Arts. 

The workshop was organised by the Post Graduate Department of Performing Arts. Dr. Mritunjay Sharma, Department of Music, Himachal Pradesh University participated in the event as a resource speaker. 

Speaking in the context of the subject, Dr. Sharma elaborated on the various stages of preparation of an effective research paper and writing of a minor research project. In addition to highlighting the importance of the appropriate topic for research, it also sheds light on its purpose and different types of research methods, as well as information on conducting research on various aspects in the field of music and performing arts was also provided. At the end of the workshop, various questions asked by the students were also answered in a very simple manner by the resource speaker. 

Principal Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi extended her gratitude to the resource person for imparting important information on the subject to the students. She averred that such events help the students in developing their understanding of their subjects & will also motivate the students to pursue research into their subjects. She lauded the efforts of Dr. Poonam Sharma, Dean, Department of Performing Arts & Mr. Yogeshwar Hans, Head, PG Department of Fine Arts for successfully organising the workshop.
