Addressing the concluding session of a seven-day Entrepreneurship Development Training Programme at HIRD, Dr Chauhan said linking women’s skills and talent with entrepreneurial opportunities would not only boost family incomes but also create local employment.
Women resource persons and members of self-help groups from different districts participated in the programme. Dr Chauhan urged them to take the training and knowledge to their respective areas and motivate more rural women to take up self-employment.
He said women resource persons could serve as an important bridge between rural women and government and institutional opportunities, helping SHGs turn their activities into sustainable income-generating ventures. “Women’s economic empowerment will strengthen both families and the rural economy,” he said.
Assistant Professor Sandeep Kumar said participants were trained in enterprise establishment, business management, leadership, innovation, problem-solving and self-employment opportunities. L.P.
