Webinar on Teacher’s Role in NEP Implementation and GNA University

Jalandhar: GNA University held a Webinar on “Teacher’s Role in NEP Implementation” in collaboration with Niti Aayog & Bhartiya Shikshan Mandal. The Webinar was held in the virtual mode. The Keynote Speaker for the Webinar was Dr Manoj Pandit, Ex Principal Maharaja College, Jaipur. Dr. Lalit Kumar Awasthi, Director NIT Jalandhar was the Chief Guest for the Webinar. The Webinar was presided by the Vice- Chancellor of GNA University, Dr VK Rattan.

The Webinar commenced with the introductory note by Dr. Disha Khanna, Deputy Dean, Faculty of Liberal Arts cum the Master of the Ceremony. Every participant of the Webinar seeked the blessings of Almighty during the light lamping ceremony followed by a detailed keynote address of Dr Manoj Pandit, Ex Principal Maharaja College, Jaipur. Dr Manoj in his address raised the most valuable concerns pertaining to the National Education Policy and the concern of giving significance to the Life skills.
The Chief Guest for the Webinar, Dr. Lalit Kumar Awasthi, Director NIT Jalandhar thanked the University for taking up the Webinar and stated this topic has been the need of the hour. He even emphasized on value based education and hoped that with this new education policy, the management as well as the teachers will implement it in full letter and spirit.

Dr VK Rattan, the Vice- Chancellor of GNA University in his presidential address fully apprised the august gathering with the most important aspects of the education policy and offered his assurance in taking it to the most achievable level.

The inaugural session was winded up with the Vote of thanks by the Registrar, GNA University cum coordinator of the Webinar, Dr. RK Mahajan. Dr Mahajan acknowledged all the dignitaries of the Webinar for collaborating with GNA University.

The Webinar was further divided into tracks of 5 sessions which was lead by a Team leader. Individual session had deliberation of the teacher’s role, challenges, solutions as well as implementation of the new education policy. The valedictory session commenced with the most important points raised and presented in the sessions by the track leaders. 

Dr. Devinder Singh Thakur, Secretary to VC Punjab University, Chandigarh & Sanyojak Bhartiya Shikshan Mandal offered his valedictory note for the most debatable Webinar. He expressed his thanks and congratulated the Vice Chancellor, GNA University for making a sincere endeavor of organizing this Webinar.

Dr. Monika Hanspal, Dean Academic Affairs, GNA University delivered her vote of thanks and acknowledged the Keynote speaker and the Chief guest for being the part of this intellectual Webinar for the day.

S. Gurdeep Singh Sihra, the Pro-Chancellor, GNA University remarked, “Despite the on-going unprecedented times, learning at GNA University has never taken a pause. I am happy to see the zeal of the faculty members to ponder deeply on the Education Policy and imbibe its valuable parameters in full swing.”
