Mr. Chetan Chittauria who holds an experience of working with fashion design from India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.

Chandigarh: University Institute of Fashion Technology & Vocational Development (UIFT&VD), Panjab University, Chandigarh, conducted a Webinar titled –Design Process, Adaptation of Trends, Execution of Design Developments practiced in the industry (Export Oriented) today.
Chairperson of UIFT&VD, Dr. Prabhdip Brar, gave an introductory note, welcoming the speaker, Mr. Chetan Chittauria who holds an experience of working with fashion design from India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. His extensive field of expertise includes managing designs and developing products for Cecil, Zara, Cleo, American Rags, Pepe Jeans, Silver Jeans, Club Monaco, Kenneth Cole, River Island, Promod, Camaieu among others.  The speaker expressed design as the one that puts logic into art based on the objectives and socio-cultural factors of the customers. The talk spanned from sources of inspiration to visualization of the final sketch. Students were made aware of the importance of understanding customer psyche along with the know-how of how brands infuse their thoughts in the global forecast. It was an interactive session with abundant learning for students of fashion technology that would help them in their future entrepreneurial ventures as designers in the industry.
 It was attended by more than 80 participants including faculty, research scholars and students of B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Fashion and Lifestyle Technology.
