GNKEC & GNI collaborate for Inter-Continental Academic Engagement

Gujranwala Khalsa Educational Council (GKEC), Ludhiana and Guru Nanak Institute of Global Studies, British Columbia, Canada signed a Memorandum of Understanding to collaborate for the furtherance of the academic, cultural and research engagement between the institutions. 

GNKEC & GNI collaborate for Inter-Continental Academic Engagement

Ludhiana, May 3, 2025: Gujranwala Khalsa Educational Council (GKEC), Ludhiana and Guru Nanak Institute of Global Studies, British Columbia, Canada signed a Memorandum of Understanding to collaborate for the furtherance of the academic, cultural and research engagement between the institutions. 

The MOU signature ceremony was conducted in the Virtual Mode at Ludhiana and in Surrey, Vancouver, Canada.  Dr. S.P. Singh, President GKEC and former Vice Chancellor, GNDU highlighted the rationale for forging this collaboration to improve the academic standards by offering jointly designed courses that enhance the global settlement prospects of their students in the five institutions being run by GKEC. These being Gujranwala Khalsa College, Gujranwala Khalsa College of Pharmacy, Gujranwala Guru Nanak Institute of Management & Technology, Gujranwala Guru Nanak Institute of Vocational Studies and Gujranwala Guru Nanak Public School. He also asserted that the tie up would also facilitate two way exchange of faculty, which is essential in a globalized world. Harsharan Singh Narula, Hony. General Secretary of GKEC assured all possible support for the success of this historical collaboration, as though the institutes are located in different continents, they share the Universal Vision of Guru Nanak Dev which must be disseminated to students across the globe. Hardeep Singh, hon. Joint Secretary GKEC, Prof. Manjit Singh Chhabra, Director GGNIMT & GGNIVS, Dr. Arvinder Singh, Principal GGNKC, Dr. Harpreet Singh, Principal GGNIMT, Dr. Parvinder Singh & Prof. GS Bhatia were also present on the occasion.
 
Gian Singh Sandhu, Chairperson Guru Nanak Institute of Global Studies, Canada hoped the collaboration would enable the students to pursue global courses along with their graduation in India, thereby enabling them to improve their prospects of global placement and settlement.  He asserted that the courses designed by them in the areas of Project Management, Supply Chain Management and other areas of skill, would enable the students to be problem solvers for professional growth. Dr. L.S. Bedi, Registrar GNI Institutes hoped the collaboration would contribute to the success of students in Punjab, and prepare them for fast track growth in the corporate world. He also asserted that the courses were designed keeping in mind the expectations and the abilities of students. Also present on the occasion was Prof. Satveer Kaur Sidhu.
