Jalandhar, June 7, 2025: Sanskriti KMV School launched the tree plantation campaign ‘Vriksh Vandana – Maa Ko Arpan’ as part of the government-driven initiative ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam 2.0’, commemorating World Environment Day. Running from 5th June to 15th July, this campaign aims to engage students in planting saplings dedicated to their Mother and Mother Nature alike.
Drawing inspiration from the nurturing love of a mother and the life-sustaining qualities of a tree—which provides shade, shelter, and nourishment—the students were invited to honour their mother by planting a tree with their mother’s name. The school provided clear guidelines encouraging theselection of indigenous and seasonal trees such as Neem, Mango, Peepal, Banyan, Jamun, Gulmohar, and Ashoka.
The campaign was inaugurated when the Principal, Rachna Monga, planted the first sapling on campus along with her mother, Asha Rani. In her address to students and staff, the Principal highlighted the collective responsibility we share in preserving the environment and urged everyone to contribute actively to this green mission with love and dedication.
