Bangalore, December 10, 2025: Volvo Construction Equipment India reinforced its position as a pioneer in the nation’s infrastructure evolution with a compelling, innovation-led presence at EXCON 2025, South Asia’s largest construction equipment event. Guided by the theme “Bharosa Har Mod Par – Trust At Every Turn,” the showcase highlighted future-ready, India-centric engineering, and sustainability-driven solutions, as Volvo CE unveiled a suite of products and services designed to power the country’s next wave of construction, mining, and material-handling growth.
At the heart of the showcase was the all-new EC215, a Made-in-Bharat excavator created for India’s varied and demanding work environments. Following the successful launch of the EC210 last year, the EC215 marks Volvo CE’s next leap in delivering high-efficiency medium excavators purpose-built for India’s infrastructure ambitions. EC215 with the tagline “Zyada Ka Vaada” extends the Zyada philosophy across 20-22T class excavators offering outstanding performance, fuel-efficiency, value and uptime.
Strengthening its India-centric portfolio, Volvo CE presented the new SD110 Compactor, delivering long-term reliability and high ROI for road building and compaction needs. This was followed by the introduction of the L120 Electric Wheel Loader, which is India’s most advanced wheel loader now commercially available, reinforcing the brand’s shift toward zero emission, cost-efficient construction solutions. The showcase concluded with the pre-launch reveal of the EC650, its first appearance in India, positioned to redefine heavy excavation standards for large construction and mining operations.
Beyond equipment, Volvo CE created an immersive brand experience by demonstrating its holistic service ecosystem, including Equipment-as-a-Service offerings, digital machine monitoring, operator skill development tools, productivity management solutions, and live support services. These comprehensive solutions are designed to maximize fleet utilization, minimize downtime, and ensure sustained machine performance throughout the equipment lifecycle.
Building on its long-term commitment to India, Volvo CE announced progress on its upcoming Technology Centre in Bengaluru, which will focus on R&D, localization, and product development for both India and global markets. This strategic investment positions India as a key contributor to Volvo CE’s global innovation network and reinforces the company’s role as a thought leader in advancing safety, performance, and sustainability standards across the construction equipment industry.
Speaking at the event, Dimitrov Krishnan, Managing Director, Volvo CE India, said: “EXCON 2025 reflects our continued focus on delivering solutions that address the real needs of the Indian market. The EC215 is built on insights gathered from customers operating across India, delivering stronger productivity and improved fuel efficiency where it matters most. With our compactors and electric wheel loaders on display, we are enabling customers to transition responsibly toward technologies that reduce emissions and operating costs over time. Our commitment is to stay closely aligned with India’s infrastructure priorities and support that journey through reliable, future-ready technology.”
