Held in Guwahati, Assam, the championship saw Vikas bring glory to the state of Haryana by securing victories in both the Singles and Triples events.
Rohtak, April 3, 2026: Setting a shining example of unwavering willpower and hard work, Vikas Narwal—a para-athlete hailing from the village Kathura (Sonepat)—has won two gold medals following an outstanding performance at the 2nd Para Lawn Bowls National Championship (2025-26). Held in Guwahati, Assam, the championship saw Vikas bring glory to the state of Haryana by securing victories in both the Singles and Triples events.
Sharing this news, Vikas's younger brother, Vipin Narwal (Who works at Nagar Nigam, Rohtak), revealed that Vikas has harbored a keen interest in sports since childhood. Despite facing limited resources and physical challenges, he refused to give up; instead, through continuous struggle and perseverance, he carved a distinct identity for himself within the world of sports. Currently, Vikas is employed in the HR Department at Pragati Infra Solution Pvt. Ltd. His unwavering dedication and discipline toward sports—pursued alongside his professional responsibilities—lend him a unique distinction.
This achievement at the national level championship stands as a testament to his ceaseless hard work, devotion, and exceptional athletic prowess. Vikas Narwal expressed his gratitude to his family members, friends, colleagues, the company management, and the concerned sports association. He extended a special vote of thanks to Richard Gale, the Head Coach of Para Lawn Bowls from Australia, whose guidance, technical support, and wealth of experience played a pivotal role in his success.
