Vibrant Village Programme: NCC Cadets conduct Yoga at Border Village Hazara Singh Wala

Ferozepur, May 29, 2025: In accordance with the vision and directions of DGNCC, 50 NCC cadets and instructors from 13 Punjab Battalion NCC(Ferozepur), part of NCC Group Ludhiana carried out a community outreach programme in the border village of Hazara Singh Wala located less than 2 kilometers from the international boundary. This village is one of the 17 select strategic villages in Ferozepur District earmarked under the newly approved Vibrant Village Programme -II by the Government for creating ‘Safe, Secured & Vibrant land borders’.
The young NCC Cadets from DCM International School and DCM Senior Secondary School, Ferozepur carried out a meaningful interaction with the students from Government Senior Secondary School and the local villagers to get a better understanding of their life. They conducted an energizing Yoga session in which the students participated in large numbers followed by an educative discussion to raise awareness on dangers and consequences of drug abuse. The aim was to encourage positive activities and a healthy lifestyle. This was followed by singing of patriotic songs which created a nationalistic fervor amongst all present in the programme. A Anti-Drug Rally was later taken out in the village by the cadets to espouse them to fight Drug menace.
The outreach programme was coordinated by Third Officer Avneet Kumar and Third Officer Harvinder Kaur along with instructional staff of 13 Punjab Battalion NCC.
