Vibrant Sessions on Day 2 of Orientation Week at SCS

Chandigarh August 23, 2023: School of Communication Studies, Panjab University, began their week-long orientation week on 21st Aug 2023, with an industry lecture delivered by Jyoti Kamal, Managing Editor, News 18. The second day of the week-long program started with high energy break the ice sessions. Dr. Bhavneet Bhatti, Chairperson, SCS, shared that its important for the students to shed their inhibitions and become familiar with each other, as well as the environment around them, such sessions help in achieving these goals.

Jasmeet Kaur Shaan, wellness coach and Entrepreneur joined as the key speaker. She addressed students about the relevance of positive mindset towards self and how it helps to shape one’s personality through fruitful activities. Second Session for the day was graced by Ms. Nisha Luthra, Director, Performing Arts Society India &Kala-Kshetra. She spoke about art and its relationship with theatre along with activities which involved breathing exercises, performing exercises and more. A vibe of social positivity and theatrical activities was shared among the students.

These activities helped students to understand the significance of personality development and how keeping them parallel to their career path makes a difference in their mental well-being. The week long orientation program will see sessions and tours on areas of know your campus, library, social sensitisation and more.
