Vet Varsity organizes Yuva Samvad-India@2047

Ludhiana, February 22, 2024: NSS wing of Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University organised Yuva Samvad-India@2047 “India’s Panch Pran – A Youth Dialogue – Bharat ke Panch Pran – Ek Yuva Paricharcha”. A total of 150 NSS volunteers alongwith first year students 30of B.V.Sc & A.H., College of Veterinary Science attended this session.

Selected 30 youth articulated their vision and dreams for a developed nation by 2047. The participants at the Yuva Samvad spoke on various topics of national importance in the broad backdrop of the theme India@2047 and in line with Panch Prans (five resolves) given by the Prime Minister. The selected 3 winners from among the speakers would be given a certificate signed by the Minister of Youth Affairs & Sports and presented with the book-Modi@20 Dreams meet Delivery. It was organized under the guidance of the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, GOI.

Dr. Nidhi Sharma, NSS Programme Coordinator of the university inaugurated the session and welcomed Dr. Swarandeep Singh Hundal, former Head, Department of Zoology, PAU as an expert to talk on Panch Prans and Dr. BBS Bagicha and Dr. Simran as the Judges for the session. Dr. Hundal said that the Panch Prans i.e. Goal of developed India, Remove any trace of slavery or colonial mindset, Take pride in our heritage and legacy, Unity and Solidarity, Sense of duty among citizens, gifted by the Prime Minister during his Independence Day Speech is a vision to move from Amrit Mahotsav towards Amrit Kaal.

Dr. JPS Gill, Director Students’ Welfare, said that such platforms enable the youth to connect with each other and participate in building a collective vision for the country.

The first prize went to Antriksh R Gautam, College of Dairy Science and Technology, Aditya Bagga, got second position from College of Veterinary Science and Darshika Kumawat, from College of Animal Biotechnology grabbed third position in the competition.
