Upcoming Punjabi film The Journey of Punjab 2016 to be released on Nov 25

This world is a wonderful place and we, as humans are responsible for making it better or worse. Our youth is our only hope and a lot depends on how they're being guided or misguided. The upcoming Punjabi film The Journey of Punjab 2016, directed by Balraj Sagar and Inderjit Moga and written by Deep Jagdeep, is a story of the youth and a realistic depiction of the present scenario of Punjab.
The movie depicts the seriousness of various social evils that Punjab, as a state is fighting against.
Red Arts Punjab, a theatre team that came into existence when youngsters from various walks of life came together with a common concern for the present state of Punjab, has made this movie to begin their common fight against social evils. They were motivated and encouraged by Dr Surjeet Singh Sidhu, Principal, B.K.S. College Muhar who believed in their potential.
The plot of the movie Punjab 2016 revolves around the life of four students, who have come to study in the university with big dreams in their eyes. The movie is a comedy that gradually turns into a tragedy because of some terrible choices made by these four boys. The dilemma of youngsters in their early adulthood and the peer pressure is very clearly depicted in the film and it is certain that the youth of the country will associate to at least one of the characters of the film. However, it also focuses on the fact that the world is not entirely full of bad people, and gives us hope, that there are people out there who wish to save the world and do good. The movie suggests and very rightly so, that the youth can do a lot to save Punjab and wipe out all the social evils if they came together for the right cause.
Punjab 2016 is one of its own kind project that has been supported, for the love of Punjab and its people, by famous personalities of the Punjabi Theatre, Music and Film industry namely Ranbir Rana, Malkit Rauni, Anita Meet, Gurpreet Bhangu, Gurchet Chitarkaar, Dally Daljit. Gurmoh, of Quissa Punjab fame, has produced the music for the film and Harshdeep Kaur, Jasbir Jassi, Kanwar Grewal, Yuvraj Hans, Gurjeet Jeeti and Baba Beli have contributed their talent in the making of the music of the film.
The team has put great efforts to make the movie an experience of its own kind and promises the Punjabi audience an entertaining movie that you can watch comfortably with your family. The movie will be released on November 25, 2016.
