Chandigarh, June 8, 2026: University Business School (UBS), Panjab University (PU), Chandigarh, commenced a five-day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “AI in Systematic Reviews and Qualitative Research: From Evidence to Experience."
The programme, being held from June 8 to 12, aims to strengthen the research capabilities of faculty members, doctoral scholars, researchers and academicians through the effective integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into contemporary research practices.
The programme was inaugurated in the Seminar Room of UBS. Addressing the participants, Prof. Meena Sharma, Chairperson, UBS, highlighted the importance of continuous learning and methodological upgradation in an evolving research environment. She highlighted how Artificial Intelligence is reshaping the research process, from conceptualisation and data collection to analysis and dissemination, and encouraged participants to embrace emerging technologies to enhance research quality and academic excellence.
A total of 34 participants, including faculty members, researchers and research scholars from various institutions, are attending the programme, showing the growing interest in AI-enabled research tools and methodologies.
The FDP has been designed to provide both conceptual understanding and hands-on training in the use of AI for systematic reviews and qualitative research. Key themes include formulation of research questions, development of search strategies, database selection, application of Boolean logic, integration of AI tools into systematic review workflows, qualitative research design, AI-assisted data collection and analysis, use of advanced platforms such as Claude and Ailyze, research rigour and ethics, and strategies for reporting and publishing qualitative research.
Through expert-led sessions, demonstrations and practical exercises, participants will gain experience in applying AI tools across various stages of the research process. The programme seeks to enhance the efficiency, transparency, rigour and overall quality of research outputs.
The inaugural session was attended by Dr. Harmeet Kaur Kang, Resource Person for the programme, along with Prof. Tejinder Pal Singh and Dr. Pooja Soni, Coordinator of the Faculty Development Programme.
