The Departments of Arts Block II, Panjab University namely Dept. of AIHC & A, Dept. of History, Dept. of Education, Dept. of Hindi and Dept. of Physical Education organised a tree plantation drive.

Chandigarh, July 17, 2025: The Departments of Arts Block II, Panjab University namely Dept. of AIHC & A, Dept. of History, Dept. of Education, Dept. of Hindi and Dept. of Physical Education organised a tree plantation drive.
It was a joint environmentally conscious effort to promote a greener, healthier and beautifully landscaped University campus. Over 20 saplings were planted by faculty members, Post Graduate students, Research scholars and non-teaching staff of the respective departments.
The programme concluded with a unanimous decision by the concerned Chairpersons Professor Ashok, Professor Dalwinder Singh, Professor Satvinder Kaur, Professor Paru Sidhu & Dr Jasbir Singh to organise another such a Green drive in the near future.
