To mark 400th Parkash Purab of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, Team Natyam presented street plays

Bathinda, January 3, 2022: The Punjab Sangeet Natak Akademi organized street plays dedicated to the 400th birth anniversary of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji. In this series, the city’s theater group Natyam, under the direction of Kirti Kripal, presented the street play "Guru Ladho Re" written by playwright Gursharan Bhaji. Natyam staged this play in different schools, villages, and towns of Bathinda district, including government schools, Teachers’ Home, Mini Secretariat, and adjoining villages Kothe Chet Singh, Burj Mahima, Kothe Lal Singh, etc.
In this play Makhan Shah Lubana tries to find the real Guru Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji in Baba Bakala, on the basis of this incident, a message was given to be aware and safe from various goons who portray themselves as the right person. Along with this current political scenario, especially the exploitation of common people by politicians after coming to the power was also highlighted. Hence, the play has given the message to search true Guru and a true leader.
In the play, the artists Bikramjit Singh, Ashish Sharma, Harmandeep Singh, Harshpinder Singh, and Himanshu left an indelible impression on the mind of the audience. Principal Mandeep Kaur GSSS Kothe Chet Singh, Balwinder Singh Math Master, Bahadar Singh Sahas Burj Mehma, and Chief Teacher Gurjit Singh GS Kothe Lal Singh gave important support in organizing these presentations.
