The Interdisciplinary Centre for Swami Vivekananda Studies, Panjab University, Chandigarh celebrated National Youth Day 

The Interdisciplinary Centre for Swami Vivekananda Studies, Panjab University, Chandigarh celebrated National Youth Day by inviting two eminent scholars and social activists Hemant Goswami and Neeraj Atri on the topic “Swami Vivekananda, Bharat and Epistemic Injustice: A Historical Perspective”.

Chandigarh, January 12, 2026: The Interdisciplinary Centre for Swami Vivekananda Studies, Panjab University, Chandigarh celebrated National Youth Day by inviting two eminent scholars and social activists Hemant Goswami and Neeraj Atri on the topic “Swami Vivekananda, Bharat and Epistemic Injustice: A Historical Perspective”. 
The Coordinator, ICSVS Prof. Shivani Sharma introduced the theme by highlighting the importance the cases and narratives of Epistemic Injustice in the world of academics. Neeraj Atri, in his key note address raised references from Swami Vivekananda speeches endorsing the values of Sanatan tradition of India and sensitizing the participants about the misinformed accounts given by historians. 
Hemant Goswami in his presidential address informed the participants about the significance of knowing history in its right context. Goswami highlighted the significance of Sanskrit language and in knowing one’s philosophical ideology. 
The event was attended by a good number of participants from across the disciplines. The Coordinator, Prof. Shivani Sharma thanked the Resource Persons and the participants.
