Jalandhar, April 18, 2015: Teresa Cooper, a Primary School Teacher from Home Farm Primary School, Colchester, Essex, UK is on a ten-day visit to Apeejay School, Jalandhar under the project “Knowing Each Other’s Culture” sponsored by British Council Connecting Classrooms.

This teacher exchange programme is the first step towards developing partnership between the two schools interms of Curricular and Co-curricular activities. During her stay Cooper will closely work with the teachers of Apeejay School and interact with the students to understand the Indian Education System.

Cooper was given a warm welcome by the Principal, staff and students. A special assembly on the theme “United We Stand, Divided we Fall” was presented by the students which was well appreciated by everyone.

Principal Madhu Sharma welcomed Ms. Cooper to the institution and wished her a happy stay.

Cooper in her speech expressed her awe over the warmth and hospitality provided by the school. She expressed her elation at the fact that she has the honour of representing her country and her school and that this partnership would bear fruitful results.
