Interdisciplinary Centre for Swami Vivekananda Studies, Panjab University, Chandigarh today celebrated Chicago Speech Day by inviting Prof. R.C Verma, Dept of Physics, Punjabi University, Patiala who deliberated on the topic “Universe, Matter, Space, Time and Causality in Bharatiya Darshan”.

Chandigarh, September 9, 2025: Interdisciplinary Centre for Swami Vivekananda Studies, Panjab University, Chandigarh today celebrated Chicago Speech Day by inviting Prof. R.C Verma, Dept of Physics, Punjabi University, Patiala who deliberated on the topic “Universe, Matter, Space, Time and Causality in Bharatiya Darshan”.
Prof. Verma highlighted some of the most significant contributions of Bharatiya Darshan in relation to science in general and Physics in particular. He affirmed the role of Indian Knowledge System in developing a better understanding of the cultural background of the nation and society. The purpose of education as per the speaker is to provide a holistic approach while academia of the country disseminate knowledge.
The Coordinator, Prof. Shivani Sharma thanked the speaker and the participants and acknowledged the contribution made by the renowned scholar Prof. R.C Verma towards the Indian Culture and Tradition.
