Rohtak, February 15, 2026: The Cut.In Film Festival, which will take place in Mumbai from February 19, will begin with a film made by Dada Lakhmi Chand State University of Performing and Visual Arts (DLCSUPVA). Three films by DLCSUPVA students have been selected for screening at this film festival. The producer of these course films is DLCSUPVA itself.

The Cut.In Students Film Festival organized by Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) has been recognized at the national level. Its three-day 13th edition will start on February 19 in Chembur, Mumbai, which will begin with the screening of DLCSUPVA’s film ‘A Flight of the Lost Dreamy Bird.’ These films are part of the course for students of Film and Television, and the students themselves have taken responsibility for everything from acting, music, dress designing to direction. This film festival will also feature screenings of DLCSUPVA’s two other films –‘Junglee Queen’ and ‘Whispers of the Horse.’

The directors and team members of all three films met with Dr. Amit Arya, Vice-Chancellor of DLCSUPVA and informed him about the stories and themes of the three films. The Vice Chancellor congratulated the students. He said that it is a matter of happiness for the SUPVA family that films from here are reaching the film festival and returning with awards. This proves that world-class resources are available here, allowing students to produce films following the exact same patterns used in Bollywood or Hollywood movies. These films were produced by students of the fourth and sixth semesters. The costume designing for these films was done by the students of SUPVA's Design Department. Dr. Arya expressed hope that all three movies will win awards at the 13th Cut.In Students Film Festival 2026.
