'Divya Vani' program at MDU; conveys the message of Environmental Conservation and Drug-Free Society

Rohtak, August 2, 2026: A message of social awareness regarding environmental conservation and freedom from substance abuse was conveyed to the audience at the 'Divya Vani' program, organized jointly by the MDU’s Youth Red Cross Unit and Swami Nitanand Seva Samiti at MDU's Tagore Auditorium.
The chief guest, MDU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Milap Punia urged students to opt for self-employment by adopting education, research, and innovation. He specifically appealed to the younger generation to stay away from all forms of intoxication.
In his address, Mahant Swami Rajendra Das inspired the youth to shun drugs and make spirituality, service, moral values, and environmental conservation the foundation of their lives.
Various speakers at the event emphasized the importance of planting more trees and caring for them regularly. They also called for transforming the campaign to create a clean, healthy, and drug-free society into a mass movement. Meanwhile, a large number of students, members of social organizations, youth, and prominent citizens enthusiastically participated in a 'drug-free' bicycle rally held on the university campus.
Dignitaries present included MDU Registrar Prof. Sandeep Bansal, Dean (CDC) Prof. Rajesh Punia, YRC Coordinator Prof. Anju Dhiman, Director (Public Relations) Sunit Mukherjee, IFS officer Navdeep Hooda, Haryana Red Cross Vice-Chairman Ankush Miglani, Dr. Dhruv Chaudhary, Dr. Jile Singh, Dr. Rajesh Jale, and Dr. Sumit Malik—along with YRC volunteers. A collective pledge regarding a drug-free society and environmental conservation was also administered to the gathering.
