Supporting Education through Nutrition: Newgen Software Technologies Limited Partnership with The Akshaya Patra Foundation

Bengaluru, June 2, 2025:   Committed to addressing critical needs in India in food security and education, Newgen Software Technologies Limited has extended its support with The Akshaya Patra Foundation. This collaboration supports  mid-day meals for over 12,000 students across multiple locations including Lucknow, Baran, Mangalagiri, Gorakhpur, Nathdwara, Mant, Vrindavan, Puducherry, and Nellore for an entire academic year. Through this impactful collaboration, approximately 17 million nutritious school meals have been served, helping nourish young minds and support their learning journey.
Since 2017, Newgen has been judiciously supporting Akshaya Patra’s initiatives and helping it provide meals for thousands of children across India, every day. Such partnerships cater to the bright future of a child's contribution to the great social well-being of communities. 
During a recent meeting, Priyadarshini Nigam, Director and CSR Committee Chair at Newgen Software, was awarded a Certificate of Gratitude from Akshaya Patra in acknowledgment of their invaluable support. On this occasion, she said, “Newgen is proud to have Akshaya Patra as its implementation partner to achieve the goal of providing nutritious meals to the developing minds. The uniqueness of this partnership is how Akshaya Patra helps us reach the remotest corners of the country, to the regions where once a day meal at the school makes the student come back to school every day and focus on education. This year also, we intend to continue the joint effort and reach more students in the interior parts of the country.”
