Chandigarh, April 6, 2026: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab State Media Incharge Baltej Pannu, while launching a sharp attack on BJP state president Sunil Jakhar, said that Jakhar Sahib is so worried about saving his position as president that he has now stopped seeing anything meaningful happening in Punjab.
Pannu said that Jakhar Sahib’s claim that children in Punjab ask each other about their “gangs” is extremely shameful and an insult to the youth of Punjab.
Baltej Pannu said that children in Punjab no longer talk about gangs, but instead ask each other how they cleared the NEET and JEE examinations. Today’s youth discusses how 65,000 government jobs provided by the Mann government were filled in a transparent manner without any recommendation and without paying even a single rupee as a bribe. The environment in Punjab has changed, but Jakhar is still stuck in old and negative politics.
Pannu said that today other states in the country are learning from Punjab’s achievements. People from neighboring states are asking how an initiative like SSF was successfully launched in Punjab. People from BJP-ruled states like Haryana and Rajasthan are now asking Punjabis how they are receiving the benefit of 600 units of free electricity, while electricity is expensive in their own states. Even farmers from neighboring states are surprised at how farmers in Punjab are getting uninterrupted daytime electricity and canal water reaching the tail ends.
Pannu advised Jakhar that no one can come to power merely by spreading negativity. The people of Punjab know the ground reality. Industrialization is rapidly taking place in the state; a company like Tata Steel, the world’s second-largest company, established an industry in Ludhiana, where local people are getting employment on a large scale.
Baltej Pannu said that if Sunil Jakhar truly wishes well for Punjab, then he must stop looking at Punjab through a “Delhi lens.” The day he removes Delhi’s glasses and looks from the perspective of Punjabis, he will automatically start seeing the development and positive transformation happening all around in Punjab.
