Students visited NDB, Healthcare and Sethi Distributors in Parwanoo

Chandigarh, April 11, 2023: A batch of 1st year students of department of University Institute of Applied Management Sciences, Panjab University, Chandigarh visited NDB, Healthcare and Sethi Distributors in Parwanoo, Himachal Pradesh.

On receiving the letter of permission from NDB, Healthcare, 17 Students along with 2 faculty members (Dr. Prachi Verma and Dr. Aman Khera) went on an industrial visit to the industry. Students were assembled at the college at 9:00 a.m. and left the department in a bus. They reached the industry at 11 o’clock. Vineet, the Quality assurance in charge of the company received them and gave a brief introduction about the dosage forms and inventory system of the industry. They were given gowning material to be worn, and took them to all the sections and explained the process of manufacturing, filling, labeling and packaging of medicines. Employees in the production area were in secondary gowning. The QA In charge explained how IPQC Tests (Clarity Test) for injectabls (Parenterals) are performed.

Students went to warehouse of Sethi Distributors, Parwanoo, where Manoj Sethi, Managing Director of the warehouse, received them and gave an introduction about the stock and inventory management of the finished goods. He practically demonstrated about their billing system (LOGIC).
