Jalandhar, August 5, 2025: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) organised a special screening of the Bollywood film Sitaare Zameen Par for its students.
The event was held in KMV’s large, state-of-the-art auditorium, offering a full-screen cinematic experience that combined entertainment with a powerful message on education and empathy. The event aimed not only to provide recreation to the students but also to spark meaningful conversations around child psychology, learning disabilities, inclusive education and the role of teachers and parents in a child’s holistic development. The auditorium was packed to capacity, with students from various departments and academic programs attending the screening with enthusiasm. The high-definition projection, immersive sound system, and comfortable seating enhanced the viewing experience, making the film come alive on screen. After the screening, a brief interactive session was held where faculty members and students shared their reflections on the film’s themes. The discussion emphasised the importance of recognising and nurturing every student’s unique potential, a philosophy KMV upholds through its progressive, student-centric approach to education.
Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi addressed the gathering and highlighted that such initiatives are an essential part of KMV’s commitment to holistic education.
