Students Take the Streets: PCTE’s Nukkad Natak Spreads Awareness with Impact

The event drew enthusiastic participation from both senior and junior wings, who used creativity and performance to address social and cultural issues with emotion and humour.

Ludhiana, October 13, 2025: The campus of PCTE Group of Institutes came alive as students performed Nukkad Natak 2025, a two-day event aimed at spreading social awareness through street plays. The event drew enthusiastic participation from both senior and junior wings, who used creativity and performance to address social and cultural issues with emotion and humour.

The Senior Wing event, held on October 11 at Rose Garden, featured 15 teams presenting impactful acts on themes such as Punjab Bolda (preserving Punjabi culture), Mard ka Dard (men’s mental health), AI as a Threat, Violence and Its Consequences, and Social Media Influence. Teams like The Traitors, Mad-Techies, Glitch Gang, The Mavericks, and AI Avengers stood out for their strong performances and messages.

The Junior Wing, held on October 12 at Rakh Bagh, saw 39 teams including Junoonverse, Fantastico, Paradox, and Dream Weavers perform on youth empowerment, environmental awareness, gender equality, and social unity.

Performances were judged on message, acting, and presentation by theatre experts Mr. Brij Mohan Bhardwaj and Mr. Balwinder, who praised the originality and energy of the students.

Dr. Swapan Chanana, Director of Student Welfare, commended students for addressing meaningful social issues, while Dr. K.N.S. Kang, Director General, appreciated their creativity and reaffirmed PCTE’s commitment to providing platforms that encourage awareness and expression.

With Festaweek 2025 underway, PCTE continues to promote learning beyond classrooms fostering creativity, awareness, and community engagement among its students.
