Sardar Bhagwant Singh Memorial Basketball Trophy: St Kabir Wins Trophy in U-14 Boys, In Girls U-14 Sacred Heart Wins Final

Chandigarh, November 12, 2025: In the finals of Under – 14 Boys St. Kabir School, Chandigarh beat Strawberry Fields School, Chandigarh 45-38. Main scorer for the winning team was Vardan – 27 while the main scorer for the runners-up was Riyansh – 15.

In the final of Under -14 Girls Sacred Heart School, Chandigarh triumphed over Learning Paths School (LPS), Mohali 32-19.  Callista with 09 points scored highest for the winners while for the runners-up Khushnoor scored 16 points.

In the Boys Under-10, Saupin’s School, Chandigarh emerged victorious by defeating Vivek High School, Mohali 14–12. Akul scored 6 points for the winning team, while Abir scored 10 points for the runners-up.

In the Girls Under-10 category, Learning Paths School, Mohali were declared winners of the tournament based on its league scores. The U 10 tourney was played on league format while all other age categories were played on the knock-out format.
 
In a Girls U-12 semi-final match YPS, Mohali beat Saupin’s School 15-6. The main scorer for the winning team was Lianna – 11, while Revaa – 06 was the main scorer for the losing team.

In an Under – 14 Girls match played for 3rd Place Vivek High School, Mohali outplayed GNPS, Chandigarh 23-6. Gurrehmat with 13 points was the main scorer for the winning team and Prabhjot with 03 points was the main scorer for the losing team.

In another match for 3rd Place in the U-14 Boys category YPS, Mohali defeated KV High Ground, Chandigarh 39-29. Main scorer for the winning team was Gurmat with 27 points while Aksh with 14 points was the main scorer for the losing team.

In a match played for 3rd place in the U-12 Boys Category Vivek High School Chandigarh beat Learning Paths School, Mohali 8-4. Fatehbir who scored 06 points was the main scorer for the winning team while Gurkirat with 02 points scored highest for the runners-up.

In an Under -17 Girls category match played for 3rd Place Sacred Heart School, Chandigarh defeated LPS, Mohali 38-23. The main scorer for the winning team was Jiya – 25 and the main scorer for the losing team was Harneet – 13.

In the Under -17 Boys (3rd Place) YPS, Mohali beat Saupin’s School, Chandigarh 53 -40.  Simranjot – 23 was the highest scorer for YPS while Aditya with 20 points scored highest for the losing team.

Rest of the remaining final matches shall be played tomorrow and a prize distribution ceremony will be held at 130 pm at the Basketball Stadium, Sports Complex. Sec 42, Chandigarh.
