Sankara Eye Hospital, Ludhiana, conducts its 154th free eye check-up and surgery camp at village Haidonwait near Machiwara in Ludhiana district on Sunday.
Ludhiana, August 11, 2013: Sankara Eye Hospital, Ludhiana, a part of Sankara Eye Care Institutions (SECI) conducted its 154th free eye check-up and surgery camp at village Haidonwait near Machiwara in this district.
The camp was organised by Ranjodh Singh, CMD, GST Group in the memory of his father Late Giani Bhagat Singh’s 10th death anniversary in association with Baba Gurmukh Singh welfare and sports club Haidonwait. In the today’s camp 367 people of more than 31 villages came to get their eyes checked, blood presser, sugar checked and 67 people selected for free surgery.
Medicines were also given free of cost to the needy patients.
The event was inaugurated by senior resident Harbans Singh and youth leader of Haidonwait Amrik Singh in the presence of Brig Retd. R.S. Gujral, CEO, Sankara, Dr. Ashish Bajaj and Dr Tanuraj Sidhu, and others.
