Rohtak's Unnati Hooda, Ranks 19th in BWF World Rankings; Devika and Anmol from Haryana also into the Top 50 of the Prestigious World Rankings

Haryana's badminton players have once again made their mark across the nation, bringing glory to the state. Three female badminton players from Haryana have successfully secured spots within the top 50 of the prestigious BWF World Rankings.

Rohtak, May 6, 2026: Haryana's badminton players have once again made their mark across the nation, bringing glory to the state. Three female badminton players from Haryana have successfully secured spots within the top 50 of the prestigious BWF World Rankings.

Ajay Singhania, General Secretary of the Haryana Badminton Association (HBA), announced that Haryana's badminton player Unnati Hooda has achieved the 19th position in the BWF rankings. Previously, P.V. Sindhu held the 12th position in these prestigious rankings.

Singhania further noted that two other players from Haryana—Devika Sihag and Anmol Kharb—have also made their mark in the BWF World Rankings, securing the 40th and 47th positions, respectively.

HBA President Devender Singh (Retd. IAS) and General Secretary Ajay Singhania extended their heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to all the players on this exceptional achievement. They remarked that having the names of three players from Haryana featured in these prestigious rankings is a moment of immense pride.

It is noteworthy that the BWF World Rankings serve as the official ranking system of the Badminton World Federation for players participating in tournaments sanctioned by the federation. These rankings are utilized to determine eligibility for the World Championships and the Summer Olympic Games, as well as for the BWF World Tour tournaments.
