Panchkula, August 22, 2023: To felicitate the outstanding contributors to road safety, a special function was organized by the Road Safety Organization (RSO), in association with LIQO Electronics Stores, at the PWD Rest House, Sector 1, here today. 


Road Safety Awards were given to individuals, organizations and communities whose remarkable efforts have helped in reducing road accidents and who have played an important role in responsible enforcement of traffic rules. Senior police officers of Tricity were also present at the award ceremony. Dr. RC Mishra, Director General of Police and Managing Director HPHC, Haryana was the chief guest, while Ishwar Singh Duhan Retd. IG, Indo Tibbetan Border Police (ITBP) was also present. Police officers of Panchkula district of Haryana Police were also felicitated in this.


In his address, Dr RC Mishra said, “All people should follow traffic rules. Thanks to all the members of Road Safety Organization for holding this event. It is important for everyone to follow the traffic rules. People should not allow minor children to drive a vehicle. It is necessary to follow the rules for road safety.”


Deep Krishna Chauhan, Chairman, Road Safety Organisation, said, “The Road Safety Awards aim to recognize and celebrate the efforts of individuals, organizations and communities who are promoting road safety. Recognizing excellence and innovation, these awards inspire a culture of responsibility and encourage efforts to make roads safer for all.”

On this occasion, Navdeep Bedi (Secretary), Mukesh Chauhan(Press Secretary), Tarunpal Singh Khurana (Joint Secretary), Karan Bagla, Tejinder Pal Singh, Sunil Khosla, Mohit Malik and volunteers of Road Safety Organization were also present.
