The Red Ribbon club of Innocent Hearts College of Education observed the World Aids day with the theme "Overcoming disruption, transforming the AIDS response" given by WHO for the year 2025. The theme emphasizes the need for sustained global cooperation and human-rights-centred approaches to end AIDS.
Jalandhar, December 1, 2025: The Red Ribbon club of Innocent Hearts College of Education observed the World Aids day with the theme "Overcoming disruption, transforming the AIDS response" given by WHO for the year 2025. The theme emphasizes the need for sustained global cooperation and human-rights-centred approaches to end AIDS.
HIV and AIDS Awareness Campaigns were organized by the RRC would-be teachers in their teaching practice schools. All the Red Ribbon club (RRC) members wore red ribbons, made descriptive posters and charts depicting the helpline numbers for treatment of HIV. They elucidated the symptoms of HIV and treatment of AIDS, raising awareness about AIDS which is an Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome caused by the spread of HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) infection. The message given to the school students was not to talk or take anything from strangers, leave any bad company and participate in sports, yoga, physical activities and also to fight against the stigma attached to HIV with cooperation and will power. AIDS awareness slogan ‘Let’s Stop HIV Together’ was raised in the teaching practice schools. The students were advised to further spread the awareness regarding AIDS helpline number 1097 to their parents.
A Poster making competition ‘Open your eyes before AIDS closes them’ was organized in the college in which Geetika achieved first prize. Principal Dr. Arjinder Singh bestowed prizes to the winners and certificates to the Red ribbon club members.
