Ramgarhia Girls College Welcomes Ramgarhia Council (UK) Delegates
Ramgarhia Girls College, Ludhiana, organised a felicitation ceremony to honour the distinguished guests from the Ramgarhia Council (UK), who visited the college under the aegis of the Ramgarhia Educational Council. The guests were accorded a warm and cordial welcome by the President of the Ramgarhia Educational Council, Ranjodh Singh, Secretary Gurcharan Singh Lotey, and Principal, Dr. Ajit Kaur.
Ludhiana, March 3, 2026: Ramgarhia Girls College, Ludhiana, organised a felicitation ceremony to honour the distinguished guests from the Ramgarhia Council (UK), who visited the college under the aegis of the Ramgarhia Educational Council. The guests were accorded a warm and cordial welcome by the President of the Ramgarhia Educational Council, Ranjodh Singh, Secretary Gurcharan Singh Lotey, and Principal, Dr. Ajit Kaur.
The primary objective of the Ramgarhia Council (UK) is to promote and preserve Indian culture and heritage on foreign soil, ensuring that cultural identity remains alive even while living within Western societies. The organisation also plays a significant role in social development by motivating students towards education, providing financial assistance to needy students, and actively organising seminars and workshops to help students progress according to their skills and abilities.
While welcoming the guests, Ranjodh Singh expressed pride in the institution, stating, “We are proud of this community organisation, which continues to bring glory to the nation even abroad. It is making a remarkable contribution, particularly in advancing youth through education, and despite today’s busy lifestyles, remains dedicated to the service of humanity.”
During the gathering, Lachhman Singh Bhamra Ji, who arrived from the UK, emphasised that in today’s era of globalisation, collective unity is essential. He stressed that service-oriented initiatives should be undertaken to inspire future generations. Narendra Singh Ubhi (UK) and Kripal Singh Saggu (UK) added, “True progress lies in combining education, service, and cultural awareness, so that the next generation is prepared not only for careers, but also for responsible citizenship.” Subsequently, Kripal Singh Saggu highlighted the initiatives undertaken by the Ramgarhia Council (UK) for women empowerment and the importance of preserving cultural values and traditions.
On this auspicious occasion, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Ramgarhia Council (UK) and the Ramgarhia Educational Council (Regd.), under which internship opportunities will be provided to girl students in the future. Extending the vote of thanks, Gurmeet Singh Kular stated, “It gives us immense happiness that the members of the Ramgarhia Council remain deeply connected to their roots and continue to work selflessly for the betterment of society.”
As a mark of mutual respect, the Ramgarhia Council (UK) honoured the Ramgarhia Educational Council (Regd.), while the latter felicitated all the visiting dignitaries along with their families by presenting mementos. The ceremony concluded with the Ramgarhia Council (UK) honouring the College Principal, Dr. Ajit Kaur, in recognition of her dedicated service and leadership.
