Ramgarhia Girls College celebrates National Youth Day

Ludhiana, January 12, 2024: The NSS unit and Red Ribbon Club of Ramgarhia Girls College celebrated National Youth Day. The birth anniversary of Swami Vivekanand is celebrated as the National Youth Day every year in India. The live telecast of the inauguration of the 27th National Youth Festival by Prime Minister Narinder Modi was shown to the volunteers through a projector. To raise awareness of the pandemic AIDS, Poster making and Slogan writing competitions were conducted in which the students participated with great enthusiasm. Students also shared their views on the topic 'Life and teachings of Swami Vivekanand'. Face painting competitions were also organized to spread awareness about the fatal disease AIDS among the masses. A march past highlighting the symptoms, safety measures and prevention of AIDS was taken out by the volunteers, followed by a street play on the same topic. The volunteers also pledged to serve their nation forever. In charge of the NSS Unit and Red Ribbon Club, Dr. Harbinder Kaur, Prof. Kiran and Prof. Heena appreciated the efforts of the students. Offg. Principal Prof. Jaspaul Kaur congratulated the NSS unit for conducting various activities to celebrate National Youth Day. She asserted that Swami ji has been a source of inspiration for every Indian. She also inspired the students to follow in the footsteps of Swami Vivekananda and continue to struggle hard till the goal is achieved.
