New Delhi, September 21, 2022: This year, to mark World Heart Day, Radico Khaitan is all set to promote “Burn Fat not Fuel” by organizing a cycle marathon in collaboration with Asian Hospital, Faridabad. Addressing the alarming fuel consumption rate and people's deteriorating physical health, the event will take place on September 25th, 2022 (Sunday) in Faridabad.

Having a track loop of 21 and 10 Cycling Kilometers, the cyclothon is likely to witness a participation of over 350 cyclists. Beginning at 5:30 am with the participants' gathering, the event will culminate at 8:45 am with the prize distribution ceremony.

“Radico Khaitan has spearheaded many initiatives aimed at the improvement and development of the society. We have always been at the forefront of working on campaigns that do good to the community, whether it's the environment, public health or welfare. We are partnering with Asian Hospital for the second year in a row on World Heart Day to encourage people to 'Burn Fat, not Fuel'. We have been organizing such events across the country for years and this is one of our ways to motivate people to preserve the environment and maintain a healthy lifestyle” says Amar Sinha, COO, Radico Khaitan.

Another important highlight of the event will be Rahgiri, which will indulge participants in different activities like Zumba, Bangra, and dance.

In a developing country like India, the number of vehicles - passengers, commercial, two-wheelers, etc. stood at over 1.75 crores in FY 2022. As much as this number poses a threat to the environment's health, this is also a cause of concern for people’s health - as they are not indulging in any physical activity like walking or cycling anymore. Living on the clock, there is usually a blurred line between what is progressive and regressive these days. While we think we are pedaling forward, our health and well-being mainly move in the backward direction. Radico Khaitan, the leading IMFL Company, understands the importance of fitness and preserving the environment and has been working on these lines for the past four years.

In the recent past, Radico Khaitan also hosted a Bikeathon event in Lucknow, which witnessed a huge turnout from participants across ages and gender. Participation of over 500 people was observed at the event.
