Chandigarh, September 29, 2025: A quiz competition “Statomania” was organised by the Department of Statistics, Panjab University, Chandigarh on 29-09-2025 successfully. The competition was opened to the M.Sc. Statistics students of the department. The Research scholars of the department coordinated the competition very well with three exciting rounds, each designed to challenge the participants’ knowledge, analytical ability, and quick decision-making skills. The final rapid fire round kept the audience and participants excited to know the results.
After a tough competition, the winning team was declared, marking the high point of the event. Beside subject knowledge this quiz enriched the participants’ ability of teamwork, healthy competition, and critical thinking among students.
The active support and encouragement of the Chairperson and faculty members created a positive learning environment, making the program an enriching and memorable experience for everyone involved. In concluding remarks, Prof. Narinder Kumar, Chairperson, said that this quiz competition reflects the department’s commitment to promote academic excellence and student engagement through innovative and interactive activities and he also appreciated the students who have enthusiastically participated in the quiz competition to showcase their knowledge and ability in the field of statistics.
