Quiz Competition on “NEP & Its Implementation: Issues and Challenges” 

The National Education Policy (NEP) Cell of Panjab University, Chandigarh, organised a Quiz Competition on “NEP & Its Implementation: Issues and Challenges” for students of Panjab University under the patronage of PU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Renu Vig and Dean of University Instruction Prof. Yojna Rawat.

Chandigarh, October 29, 2025: The National Education Policy (NEP) Cell of Panjab University, Chandigarh, organised a Quiz Competition on “NEP & Its Implementation: Issues and Challenges” for students of Panjab University under the patronage of PU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Renu Vig and Dean of University Instruction Prof. Yojna Rawat.

The quiz competition was designed to sensitise students and spark active engagement with education policy reforms and their implementation in an interactive manner through the medium of a quiz. The quiz drew enthusiastic participation from the students.

The occasion was graced by Prof. Yojna Rawat, Dean of University Instruction, and Dr. Upneet Mangat, Chairperson, Centre for Human Rights and Duties.

While delivering the keynote address, Prof. Yojna Rawat, the Chief Guest, lauded the efforts of the NEP Cell, remarking that “such events create pathways for involving young minds in policy and its implementation.” She encouraged the organisation of more such initiatives to raise awareness among students about the transformative aspects of the NEP and appreciated the enthusiastic response from the participants.

The event coordinators were Prof. Anil Monga, Coordinator, NEP Cell, and Prof. Veenu Mangat, Co-Coordinator, NEP Cell at Panjab University. The organisation of the event was done by the NEP SAARTHIs (Student Ambassadors of Academic Reforms for Transforming Higher Education in India) of Panjab University.

The event commenced with the Panjab University Anthem, followed by an address by Prof. Veenu Mangat, NEP Co-Coordinator. Prof. Veenu Mangat outlined the mandate and functions of the UGC NEP Cell of the University, emphasising the pivotal role of NEP Saarthis in bridging policy formulation and implementation by fostering student participation and innovation.

A jury of three research scholars from various departments of Panjab University evaluated the competition. A felicitation ceremony was held to honour the NEP Saarthis and the judges for their contributions.
