Quiz and Rangoli Competitions add Color and Creativity to Sewa Pakhwada at DLC SUPVA

Continuing its Sewa Pakhwada celebrations, the Dada Lakhmi Chand State University of Performing and Visual Arts (DLC SUPVA), Rohtak, organized Quiz and Rangoli competitions that brought together students from across faculties in a spirited display of talent, teamwork, and creativity.

Rohtak, September 25, 2025: Continuing its Sewa Pakhwada celebrations, the Dada Lakhmi Chand State University of Performing and Visual Arts (DLC SUPVA), Rohtak, organized Quiz and Rangoli competitions that brought together students from across faculties in a spirited display of talent, teamwork, and creativity.

The Quiz Competition, conducted on the theme of Artificial Intelligence, saw enthusiastic participation from four teams, each representing the faculties of Architecture, Design, Visual Arts, and Film & TV. The Faculty of Planning & Architecture team of Navneet Singh Sisodia and Deepanshu, emerged as winners, while Himanshi and Nitesh from the Faculty of Design team secured the second position.

Equally vibrant was the Rangoli Competition, in which 56 students participated in groups of up to six. Group A comprising Tamanna, Neha and Dev bagged the first prize, impressing judges and peers with their creativity and design.

The Sewa Pakhwada, which began on 17th September on the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday, is being coordinated by DSW Vinay Kumar. The celebrations have already witnessed initiatives such as tree plantation drives, cleanliness campaigns, vehicle-free day, and Plastic Mukt Abhiyan, and will continue with a Nukkad Natak scheduled for 30th September.

Speaking on the occasion, Vice-Chancellor Dr. Amit Arya said; “Sewa Pakhwada is not just a celebration but a movement to instill responsibility, creativity, and social consciousness among our students. Through activities like quizzes, rangoli, and community campaigns, we are nurturing individuals who combine knowledge with service and creativity with values.”

Registrar Dr. Gunjan Malik Manocha added, “What makes this Pakhwada special is the wholehearted participation of our students. From planting trees to showcasing their creative skills, they are proving that service to society can be both meaningful and joyful. These initiatives are a reflection of DLC SUPVA’s spirit of community and collective growth.”

With cultural competitions, social campaigns, and community engagement running in tandem, the Sewa Pakhwada at DLC SUPVA has emerged as a dynamic platform for students to celebrate, serve, and learn together.
