Milkfed launches three new variants of cattle feed in Chandigarh on Friday.

Chandigarh, December 6, 2013: In a bid to enhance the milk production in the state, the Milkfed has launched today three new variants of cattle feed.
Disclosing this here today, the Managing Director, Milkfed Alaknanda Dayal during the launching ceremony said that Milkfed has started manufacturing three types of Cattle Feed namely Verka Type-2, Verka Premium & Verka Gold with maize contents of 5%, 10% & 20% respectively.
The MD said that with a view to improve the cattle’s milk production in the state and to cater the need of Dairy Farmers across the state, the production of these new types of Cattle Feed had been started by adding maize as energy ingredient for the animals. She further mentioned that to enhance protein contents and its absorption by the milch animals, bypass protein supplement would also be utilised proportionately. It adds to the Nutrients for the Cattle and also they take it readily and this results into high Milk Yield which gives profit to the Farmers. This Feed includes all the necessary Nutrients needed for the Milk Production of milch animals. Therefore the Cattle Feed prepared by Milkfed was a balanced Feed with higher protein content as compared to the Cattle Feed prepared locally at household and other private manufacturers.
For high yielding Animals Verka Gold Cattle Feed was prepared with 4.5 % Fat and 24% Protein & 20% Maize. This Cattle Feed is made through Bypass Protein Plant which increases the absorbing power of Protein in the animals resulting in high yield of Milk.
These Cattle Feeds were made with mineral mixture including the minor elements which were needed during the pregnancy of milch animals. Vitamins A & D were also added which makes the Cattle free from diseases.
All the three Feeds are beneficial for milch animals which would provide profit to the Milk Producers in the future./ punjab news live, punjab news online, punjab news, punjab news headlines, punjab breaking news, india news, punjab news
