Chandigarh, August 19, 2015: Punjab Government has re constitute the Sixth Board of Governor of the Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar.
Disclosing this here an official spokesman of Punjab Government said that Chief Secretary would be Chairman and the Principal Secretary to Government of Punjab, Department of Technical Education and Industrial Training would be Vice-Chairman of the Governing Council.
The spokesman said Vice-Chancellor, I.K.Gujral Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar. Vice Chancellor, Maharaja Ranjit Singh State Technical University, Bathinda, Secretary Finance, Director, Technical Education and Industrial Training, Punjab, Chairman of the North-West Committee, All India Council for Technical Education, Chandigarh, President of the Confederation of Indian industry or his nominee, and Director of Indian Institute of Technology, Ropar would be Ex-Officio Members of the Board of Governors.
He added that Mr. Sachit Jain, Joint. Managing Director, Vardhman Textile & MD Vardhman Special Steels, Ludhiana, Dr. Dharinder Tayal, Director, Anovus Institute of Clinical Research, Dr. M.P.Punia, Director, NITTTR, Chandigarh. Prof. Parkash Gopalan, Director, Thapar University, Patiala, Dr. Ravi Kumar, Principal, Beant College of Engineering and Technology, Gurdaspur, and Dr. A.P. Singh, Dean RIC, I.K.Gujral Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar have been Nominated Members of Board. This Board of Governors would govern for next three year.
