PU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Renu Vig Felicitates UILS Alumnus Ujjawal Aggarwal for Receiving the Prestigious NSS President’s Award

The Alumni Cell of the University Institute of Legal Studies (UILS), Panjab University, Chandigarh, organized a felicitation ceremony in honour of Ujjawal Aggarwal, a distinguished alumnus of the institute, for his exceptional contribution to social service and community development through the National Service Scheme (NSS).

Chandigarh, October 23, 2025: The Alumni Cell of the University Institute of Legal Studies (UILS), Panjab University, Chandigarh, organized a felicitation ceremony in honour of Ujjawal Aggarwal, a distinguished alumnus of the institute, for his exceptional contribution to social service and community development through the National Service Scheme (NSS).
 
Aggarwal was conferred with the MY Bharat–NSS President’s Award for the year 2022–23, the highest national recognition under the NSS framework. The award was presented to him by the Hon’ble President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu, at a ceremony held at Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi.
 
The felicitation ceremony was held in the office of the Vice-Chancellor, Panjab University, where Prof. Renu Vig, Vice-Chancellor, personally congratulated Aggarwal for his remarkable achievements and his steadfast commitment to social causes. Prof. Vig lauded his efforts in promoting youth leadership, environmental sustainability, and social justice, describing his accomplishments as a reflection of Panjab University’s ethos of service and excellence.
 
The event was coordinated by the Alumni Cell, UILS, under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Shruti Bedi, Director, UILS, and Prof. Jaimala, Faculty In-charge, Alumni Cell, UILS. Both professors commended Aggarwal’s inspiring journey and emphasized the importance of nurturing socially conscious graduates who contribute meaningfully to national development.
 
Aggarwal’s national recognition has brought immense pride to UILS and Panjab University. His dedication to community welfare serves as a beacon of inspiration for current students and alumni alike, reinforcing UILS’s commitment to producing not only accomplished professionals but also compassionate changemakers.
